Through events, partner conversations, resource requests, health screenings, and direct outreach, we are learning what families across the Rio Grande Valley are searching for, asking for, and showing up for.

Data in Action
HEALTH ACCESS
Community Resource Fairs
AltaCair connects residents with healthcare providers, social service organizations, educational resources, emergency preparedness services, and local support. Recent resource fairs have reached approximately 60–75 community members per event. In March 2026, 27 individuals received lab work at the San Carlos Health Fair.
COMMUNITY SUPPORT
Community Care Closet
The Community Care Closet provides clothing, infant items, household goods, cookware, and other essential necessities. Since November 2025, the Closet has supported nearly 150 families. Since January 2026, it has served 74 individuals and 7 families.
FOOD RELIEF
Food Distribution
AltaCair continues to support families through food distribution focused on healthy, affordable food options. Food distribution has supported approximately 80 families, with about 40 families reached monthly in San Carlos.
MEETINGS
Cluster Meetings
AltaCair convenes partners to discuss healthcare access, community needs, and non-medical drivers of health. Across 2024 and 2025, AltaCair hosted 10 Cluster Meetings, with more than 50 participants per meeting.
INNOVATION
Accelerator
Accelerator is AltaCair's annual health summit focused on health equity, data, collaboration, and community impact. Accelerator 2026 is scheduled for October 15, 2026, and will explore how AI and technology can support better health outcomes and improve access.
