Position Summary
The Program Coordinator supports the planning, implementation, and evaluation of AltaCair Foundation’s community health, social service, and collaborative initiatives. This role helps ensure programs run efficiently, partnerships are maintained, events are well organized, and community members receive timely support and resources.
This is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, community-minded, adaptable, and passionate about improving health equity and social well-being in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
Program Operations
- Assist with day-to-day activities of foundation programs and initiatives
- Track program goals, timelines, and deliverables
- Maintain program documentation, reports, and outcome data
- Support implementation of community-based projects and outreach initiatives
Community Engagement
- Serve as a liaison between AltaCair Foundation and community partners
- Assist in organizing community fairs, health events, cluster meetings, and outreach activities
- Build relationships with healthcare providers, social service agencies, schools, faith-based groups, and other stakeholders
- Respond to community inquiries and help connect individuals to appropriate resources
Event & Meeting Coordination
- Plan logistics for meetings, workshops, and community events
- Coordinate volunteers and partner participation
- Prepare materials, presentations, and sign-in documentatio
Data & Reporting
- Collect and track program participation and impact data
- Assist in preparing grant reports and program summaries
- Maintain accurate records for compliance and evaluation
Administrative Support
- Schedule meetings and manage program calendars
- Support communication efforts including emails, newsletters, and social media updates
- Maintain inventory of program supplies and materials
Required Qualifications
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Community Development, or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in community programs, healthcare, nonprofit, or outreach settings
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Preferred Qualifications
The following are preferred, but not required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Community Development, or a related field
- Experience working with underserved or vulnerable populations
- Experience with event coordination or community engagement
- Familiarity with healthcare or social service systems
Work Environment
- Combination of office, community, and event-based settings
- Some evenings or weekends may be required for events
- Local travel for community outreach activities
